Anxiety Therapy for Adults

What ages do you specialize in for adults struggling with anxiety?

Ages 18-105!

Why is anxiety therapy at the Center For CBT so effective?

You'll be matched with a specialist who is a true expert in the gold standard treatment for your specific type of anxiety.  Unlike traditional therapy that goes on and on for years, our treatments are extremely goal-oriented and you'll start to notice meaningful progress in a matter of weeks.  The amazing thing about CBT for anxiety is that it doesn’t just teach you to cope - it can actually help retrain your brain so that things that once felt overwhelming no longer trigger anxiety. It might be hard to imagine, but we see these changes happen every day. That’s exactly what CBT for anxiety is designed to do.

What is the most effective treatment for Anxiety?

The most effective anxiety treatment depends on the type of anxiety that one is experiencing.  For example, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is the gold standard for Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety, and Specific Phobias. Conversely, Exposure and Response Prevention is the most effective treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.  For those who are battling anxiety subsequent to a trauma, Cognitive Processing Therapy or Prolonged Exposure is indicated.

When you're experiencing intense anxiety, it's super important to go to a specialist who can differentiate between the highly overlapping (and often co-occuring) types of anxiety so that the most effective and appropriate treatment plan can be devised.  Seeking therapy from someone who specializes in anxiety treatment is especially critical because the same thing that can help with one type of anxiety can exacerbate symptoms for a different type.

Our anxiety treatment specialists will conduct a thorough assessment to understand the exact type(s) of anxiety that you are experiencing and then develop a customized treatment plan utilizing the most advanced and effective treatments available.  We infuse every single session with fun, levity, and positivity ; you'll be laughing along the way and finishing your anxiety treatment before you know it!
